Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre is now a part of the CV Life family.

It officially began operating as a CV Life facility on 1 April 2021.

The leisure centre originally opened in 2009 and has continued to grow as a facility and community hub in the North East of the city to be the fantastic centre it is today.

The transfer of operator from Coventry Sports Trust to CV Life is the final stage of Coventry’s journey to create a single public leisure provider and meets the objective of providing the city with facilities that are of a high standard, while being available to provide for all, no matter what the income or fitness ability may be.

All of CV Life’s leisure facilities host the Lifestyles Health and Fitness membership. Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre will also offer a Lifestyles membership.

Existing members will be provided with a seamless changeover to Lifestyles. Prices and conditions of use will not change, and members will still be able to use the state-of-the-art equipment on offer as they did previously.

Paul Breed, CEO of CV Life, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming another leisure facility to the CV Life family. The CV Life offer continues to grow as we operate more facilities around the city.

“We will be ensuring a seamless changeover for all who work at and use the facilities already, along with welcoming new customers too.

“At CV Life we strive to offer facilities that meet the needs and requirements of all Coventry residents. We look forward to bringing another fitness facility in the North East of Coventry on board that offers both of those. I look forward to seeing Moat House along with our other CV Life leisure centres open again soon.”

Work is also underway to resurface the existing outdoor football pitch at the centre. It will be re-surfaced to be a high performance, 3G, FA accredited pitch available for clubs and groups to use.

Cllr Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport, said: “CV Life already operate several fantastic facilities in Coventry, so it will be brilliant to see another added to their list.

“Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre has so much to offer with everything from the top of the range fitness equipment to the updated 3G pitch coming soon.

“The pitch will be a perfect addition to the centre and once completed, it will be another great sporting asset to the city that Coventry residents can make use of, complimenting the city-wide sport and wellbeing offer.”
